Behind POLASTORM are a group of tech companies and Anglo European engineers and marine professionals with over 100 years combined marine professional experience.
Our goal is advancing the latest robotic technologies to produce aviation quality propellers in both s.s and Titanium-Aluminum Hybrid new age materials for marine distribution worldwide.
We offer over in time a more cost effective supply channel of the biggest and best outboard brands of propellers to keep all boaters worldwide boating and fishing through international distributors at all levels in most countries.
Aluminum Casting Technology
The migration of aerospace technology to marine aluminium propellers is now a reality, boasting hybrid casting of strontium, aluminium and titanium that are far stronger and durable then ever before.
POLASTORM is the first company to apply APC casting technology for aluminum propellers. APC casting is known as Aerospace Precision Casting that can achieve aerospace level products with extreme high-density and physical strength. APC casting was developed based on low-pressure casting techonology, with extra casting pressure and accurate computer control system. Our R&D team has developed the special casting alloy: TITANIUM-ALU HYBRID. This material is a combination of A356 with strontium magnesium titanium metal alloy, processed with solution heat treatment and aged. Polaris aluminum propeller performs superiorly when compared to squeeze cast and die cast.
Our robotic powder-coating line uses AkzoNobel patented anti-corrosive coating powder that are environmentally safe.
APC casting propeller:Tensile strength 280Mpa; Yield strength 220Mpa; Elongation at break 7%.
Squeeze casting propeller:Tensile strength 190Mpa; Yield strength 140Mpa; Elongation at break 5%.
Die casting propeller: Tensile strength 110Mpa; Yield strength 130Mpa; Elongation at break 1%.
Stainless Steel Casting Technology
POLASTORM stainless steel propellers are made of ASTM A890-4A duplex stainless steel formulation, processed by solution heat treatment.
The composition of ASTM A890-4A steel is notable for including copper (Cu) and containing a comparatively high amount of chromium (Cr). Copper is primarily used to improve resistance to acids. Chromium is the defining alloying element of stainless steel. Higher chromium content imparts additional corrosion resistance.
POLASTORM stainless steel propellers all utilize spiral flute exhaust design and the marine industries best Interchangeable hub system. The best proven designs have been chosen to best match specific engines h.p groups with a wide range of propeller pitch choices.
Nibral/Bronze Casting Technology
As known, most of bronze propeller manufacturers use sand casting technology. Sand casting has a high porosity and complex melt delivery system. In sand casting, defects are simply unavoidable.
POLASTORM has innovated CEES gravity casting technology for bronze
ibral propellers.
instead of sand molds, POLASTORM uses steel molds.
The advantage of “CEES” casting.
1. CLEAN. No smoke and dust caused during casting. Environmentally friendly.
2. EFFICIENT. Mold can be recycled for thousand times. No sand shell needed. Less labour involved.
3. EXCELLENT. Low casting defective rate. High casting quality.
4. SAVE. Simple melt delivery system, less casting allowances.
